It’s that magical time of the year when very special things happen – like the chance to have Breakfast with Santa!

We are fully in the month of December, and the holidays are right up ahead. Thanks to COVID, the holiday calendar looks quite different this year from years past. In fact, it’s been turned right on its head. The City of Charleston recently announced they have cancelled the Downtown Charleston Christmas Parade, along with the Parade of Boats in Charleston Harbor.

That being said, there are still many events that are still on, pivoting, adapting, and going forward. The Holiday Festival of Lights is one of the best examples. They preserved the core of the event and turned it into a drive-thru experience, as I covered in this blog. And Mount Pleasant is moving ahead with their Holiday Light Parade.

This year of crazy years, people seem more focused than ever on having good quality Christmas experiences. On appreciating the little things. Of savoring the moment. And, of taking in things that are not far away.

This holiday season, one such thing popped up on my radar screen. It looks like a lot of fun for kids of all ages. It’s also pretty close by the Isle of Palms, if you happen to be here in one of our Isle of Palms vacation rentals.

Have Breakfast with Santa at Burtons!

Towne Centre is the premiere shopping center in all of the Lowcountry. It’s conveniently located just across the Isle of Palms Connector in Mount Pleasant. Recently they kicked off the holiday season with their virtual flipping of the light switch and tree lighting. They always have lovely decorations, especially the way they light up the majestic live oak trees with loads of twinkling lights.

Towne Centre is a mixed use open air shopping area, complete with movie theater and several great restaurants. One of the best is Burtons Grill. They have delicious food, great staff, a terrific happy hour, and just an all-around good vibe.

Well, in anticipation of Christmas, Burtons is sponsoring a very special event. Get set to have Breakfast with Santa Claus, right here in the Lowcountry!

Santa has taken time out of his busy schedule and will be having breakfast at Burtons Grill on two Saturday mornings in December, at 8:30 a.m. The first is tomorrow – Saturday, December 5th. If you can’t make it then, you can also have Breakfast with Santa next Saturday, December 12th.

All ages are welcome! You must make your reservation ahead of time, at (843) 606-2590. It’s just $15 per person. Included are a delicious Burtons breakfast, a fun craft project for each kid, an appearance by Carol’s Balloon Art, and last but not least, a meet-and-greet with Santa himself.

Burtons has great safety and cleanliness policies in place. Guests are asked to wear a mask whenever they are not seated at their table.

Read more on Facebook or on the Towne Centre website.

So don’t miss out on a chance to share your Christmas wish list with the big guy himself, and have Breakfast with Santa Claus. And remember to call EP if a stay in a beach house is on your Christmas list.

All best,
Lowcountry Lisa
