In these COVID days, socially distant activities are popping up left and right to fulfill our need to be active, educated and entertained. There are some really fun ones coming up shortly, and they cover all the bases.  Not only that  -  they are all FREE. Check out one or all of the following. You can take part from the comfort and safety of home (or your luxury home on Isle of Palms).

Outdoor movie night!

The Town of Mount Pleasant is cranking up its outdoor movie night series once again.  The 11th Annual Waterfront Music & Movies has officially kicked off.  It’s outdoors and on Fridays, so it’s a perfect socially distant activity for the whole family. The venue is Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park.  You’re encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs, wear a mask and be socially distant, while you watch a movie with Charleston Harbor and the Ravenel Bridge as a scenic backdrop.  Admission and parking are free, and there’ll be food and drinks available for purchase.  It runs from 6:30 p.m. till 10:30 p.m. each Friday evening, with the movie starting at sunset. They’ve picked some fun flicks… first up is “RV” (tonight, August 14th), then on August 21st it’s “Yesterday,” and “Enchanted” will play on August 28th.
