Yes, it’s Charleston Restaurant Week. This time it’ll run from Wednesday, January 10th through Sunday, January 21st.
Now run by the South Carolina Restaurant & Lodging Association, it’s become a wildly popular event that takes place twice a year (January and September). It’s proven to be a big hit with locals and visitors alike.
This year, more than 110 restaurants are taking part.

Restaurant Week is a great way to sample some of the best the town has to offer, at prices better than ordering a la carte.
This event just gets bigger and better each time it rolls around. The fact that Charleston restaurants are perpetually showing up on all sorts of prominent best-in-the-country lists doesn’t hurt. Local chefs are getting the rep of rock stars. They’ve tweaked it a bit since they first started it. Instead of having three tiers of pricing ($20, $30 or $40 per person for three courses), restaurants are encouraged to come up with their own specially priced event menus. It looks to be a benefit to diners, adding more flexibility as restaurants respond to what people enjoy or have asked for in the past. Some restaurants are opting for a special drink as opposed to a third-course dessert or first-course appetizer, for example.
