If you’re in a luxury house on Isle of Palms, there’s a terrific local option for holiday dinner to go.  It will taste totally homemade, and no one needs to be the wiser.

Burtons Grill & Bar is a go-to place for terrific food, an excellent happy hour, not to mention many fun events.  These include Paws on the Patio, as well as Breakfast with Santa, which I covered in this blog.

Although Burtons is technically a chain based in New England, they have the feel and operation of a local place that’s really dialed into the community.  They have a loyal local following, for good reason.  It’s conveniently located just across the Isle of Palms Connector in Mount Pleasant Towne Centre, along Highway 17 North.

Burtons has done a great job pivoting during the pandemic, offering much of their menu to-go.  For people who like to cook, they also provided meal packages you could cook yourself at home.  They even offered basic groceries to go during the height of the pandemic earlier this summer.

Burtons is now open for in-person dining for those who prefer that.

As Christmas and New Years are fast approaching, Burtons is offering a couple yummy options for your holiday dinner.  You can purchase the holiday dinner package to cook yourself, and they provide very detailed cooking instructions.  Or opt to get the finished product to go, if you’d rather leave the cooking to them.

Holiday dinner options include:

Burtons Grill & Bar Prime Rib with au jus and creamy horseradish sauce, garlic roasted broccoli or maple mustard bacon Brussel sprouts, twice-baked potatoes or red bliss mashed potatoes, ciabatta bread with herbed butter, and flourless chocolate torte with raspberry coulis.

Burtons Grill & Bar Crab-Crusted Salmon with garlic roasted broccoli or caramelized onion and mushroom Brussel sprouts, twice-baked potatoes or red bliss mashed potatoes, ciabatta bread with herbed butter, and flourless chocolate torte with raspberry coulis.

You can also purchase all of the above dishes a la carte, as well as others like salads, shrimp cocktail and buffalo chicken dip.  Note: if you’re purchasing the meal package to prepare at home, the main dish comes raw, with detailed cooking instructions.  Side dishes and desserts come fully prepared but cold, with reheating directions.

View the whole holiday dinner menu here.  You can place your holiday dinner online at their online ordering portal.

They ask that you give at least 24 hours’ notice for the staff to prepare and package your dinner.  You can pick up your holiday dinner any time from now through December 31st, except for Christmas Day, when they will be closed.  FYI, they will be open until 8:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

Prime rib or crab-encrusted salmon?  Either one sounds delicious, and a perfect choice for an elegant holiday dinner right in your beach home.  Just give us a call at EP and we’ll get you booked in the perfect one for a safe and peaceful holiday at the beach.

All best,
