Pop-up art galleries in private homes on Sullivan’s Island.
Art on the Beach takes place each year on the second Sunday in November on Sullivan’s Island, one island over from the Isle of Palms.
This island tour/fundraising event has been going on for more than two decades (in fact, 2024 is its 25th year) - and it’s always a popular one.
Here’s your chance to visit some lovely homes on Sullivan’s Island, admire great island art while you’re there, meet the artists and see some of them at work, and enjoy some light bites from chefs along the way - all the while helping a worthy cause.
Sounds like a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
Art on the Beach benefits Charleston Pro Bono Legal Services – “Fighting for equal access to justice for all.”
Tickets can be purchased on the website, and they usually sell out quite early. Just show your ticket at the first house on the tour, then you’ll be issued a wristband for entry to subsequent homes. The tour lasts from 1:00 p.m. till 5:00 p.m.
