ArtFest

It’s Mount Pleasant Towne Centre’s annual celebration of the creative  -  ArtFest  -  and it takes place just over the IOP Connector. 

Their tagline is, “The Art of Fun!”

Talented regional and local artists will display their creations.  Check out live performances by local music and dance studios, and stroll among the many exhibits and vendors as well as a juried art show by the Mount Pleasant Artists Guild. 

A recent “Art Walk” featured work by Green Paisley Designs, Austin's Sweetgrass Baskets and More, The Saltwater Cowboy, Sarine Designs, Joe Benton Photographic Art, My Town Art by Patrick Reid O’Brien, Gas Lamp Candle Company, Palmetto Pottery, Lowcountry Lit, Tweak of Nature, Salty Mermaid Productions, and On The Half Shell.

In 2022 organizers also added a virtual Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by On Purpose Adventures.  Especially for kids, there’s Good Clean Fun’s Spin Art Bike, caricatures, sweetgrass demonstrations, baton twirling, arts & crafts, and classes in making balloon animals. 

Food vendors include local faves like Madrigals Tacos & Latin Cuisine, Caribbean Fresh, New Dog Hot Dogs, The Ice Cream Team and Kona Ice.

The event is free, as are all activities, performances and parking. 

ArtFest is from 11:00 a.m. till 3:00 p.m. and centers around “The Oaks,” which is located in Towne Centre just across the street from Barnes & Noble.
