It's the holiday edition of Charleston's famous farmers market.
The famous Charleston Farmers Market is ranked one of the top ten in the United States. Technically it’s over for its regular season. But fret not, they pull out all the stops for the holidays.
On weekends during December, they host their special Holiday Market in Marion Square, the site of the normal downtown farmers market.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will both be there, ready to have their picture taken with you.
There will be live holiday music, gourmet treats and gifts galore. It’s an ideal place to grab a bite, pick up something to prepare dinner in your Charleston beach house, do some Christmas shopping or find a uniquely Lowcountry souvenir from your stay.
The holiday market happens from 9:00 a.m. till 3:00 p.m. on certain Saturdays and Sundays until Christmas. Details and exact dates for 2024 haven't been announced yet, but these were the dates for the 2023 season: December 2nd, 3rd, 9th, 10th, and 16th.
