Luxury beach house rentals SC are great to stay in any time of the year, and this is no exception. This week marked the official start of fall, and sure enough, pumpkin-flavored everything is showing up in coffee shops and restaurants all over the Lowcountry.
First off, a quick follow-up to that last BLOG – this weekend is the 36th annual Taste of Charleston at Boone Hall Plantation. It’s a chance to sample some of the best cuisine that the Lowcountry has to offer, all in one convenient and very beautiful locale. The tents are set up on the large back lawn behind the main house at Boone Hall for the main event on Sunday, and tonight is the Iron Chef Competition downtown at the Gaillard. The festival has been described as a “sea of culinary enchantment.”
New to the event this year is the Cooking Well Village, with cooking demos and chef cook-offs, co-sponsored with the South Carolina Hospital Association. It promises to bring an element of healthy eating to the annual foodfest.
Live music this year will be by the rowdy group from New Orleans, Cowboy Mouth, who plays a “unique style of rock & roll gumbo.” Sounds like a lot of fun.
Boone Hall is convenient to all our SC vacation rentals, either a Folly Beach house Charleston or a luxury house on Isle of Palms. It’s an especially easy drive from our Isle of Palms vacation rentals – just cross the Connector and head up Highway 17 North a little ways till you see the signs.
You are encourage to carpool, and coolers, pets and tailgating are now allowed. Here’s the official website: http://www.charlestonrestaurantassociation.com/taste-of-charleston/
