One of the many reasons people flock to the Lowcountry is to try the top-notch cuisine in the best restaurants in Charleston.

Charleston chefs are strutting their stuff like never before, garnering international attention.  The CHS food scene seems to grow at an exponential pace, as does the number of new dining options opening up downtown and beyond.  It can be difficult to choose from among the best restaurants in Charleston.

Goodbye to Winter Restaurant Week 2019, Hello to the Best Restaurants in Charleston

This past Sunday officially ended Charleston Restaurant Week – Winter Edition 2019.  By all accounts, it was a success.  Well over 100 establishments participated.  Countless diners got to experience some of what the foodies are raving about.

There is such an abundance of wonderful places within easy driving distance of our Isle of Palms vacation rentals.  The main challenge becomes picking which one to patronize.

Resy to the Rescue

There are many helpful apps and best of lists to help you out.  Recently Resy released their Charleston Hit List with the top ten best restaurants in Charleston.

Here’s the list, along with the neighborhood in which each one is located:

  1. Hall’s Chophouse – Harleston Village;
  2. FIG –  Ansonborough;
  3. Stella’s – Radcliffborough;
  4. Revival –  French Quarter;
  5. Renzo –  North-Central;
  6. Edmund’s Oast –  Wagener Terrace;
  7. Balao –  Ansonborough;
  8. Purlieu –  Westside;
  9. Juliet –  Cannonborough/Elliotborough;
  10. Leon’s Oyster Shop –  North-Central.

Charleston has so many interesting neighborhoods, each with its own vibe.  All those “boroughs”  –  it’s almost like New York.

Here’s a link to the whole list, with what they have to say about each one and recommendations of what to order.  They also link you to Resy to make a reservation, which is often a must to secure a seat.

All of these fine places are an easy drive or Uber from the Isle of Palms.  Just head through Mount Pleasant, over the Ravenel Bridge across the Cooper River to the downtown peninsula.

So call us to book your home away from home at the beach, and get ready for some mighty fine eatin’ while you’re here.

All best,
