Our family (ages 2.5 to 82) really enjoyed our stay at the property. Pool is a great design for little ones to play in. A bathroom for every bedroom meant everyone had their own space, which was great. Kitchen had everything you need. Loved the upstairs private balcony off the one king bedroom, a quiet place to reflect and enjoy the ocean views and breezes.

50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration

Barbados was our home for the celebration of our 50th Wedding Anniversary. All aspects of the house, and property, exceeded the expectations of our family of eighteen. The house was exceptionally clean, and furnished appropriately for the number of guests. The kitchen was well stocked with extensive cookware and dinnerware. Having two refrigerators, ice maker, microwave, gourmet oven, grill, etc. was very effective in providing cooked meals for the family.The pool and boardwalk access to the beach are in excellent condition.Exclusive Properties and the Barbados were the perfect hosts for a family gathering.

Anniversary celebration with family

This beautiful house has a 180 degree view of the ocean, with a fire pit and games available. They even had skewers for the marshmallows. We enjoyed the deck in the morning and the shade it provides in the afternoon. It was perfect for us because it is a less than 30 min drive to downtown Charleston with minimal traffic, so some of us could go on tours while others could be on the beach. The beach was not crowded.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Barbados! Check in was efficient and the communication with the property management team was excellent. The only issue was an ice maker that wasn't working but it was fixed promptly. Beautiful beach location and the house was very clean, nicely decorated. Easy access to all of the sightseeing opportunities the Charleston area has to offer. Catching several sharks was a highlight. Great family memories made here!

I rate this vacation home as outstanding for two reasons. The first is the home itself. It is a fantastic house and a great location. The condition, cleanliness and usability was over the top. Terrific kitchen, pool, bedrooms, living area and access to the beach. I will return.As to the service by the agent, also over the top. We had a couple minor issues which were dealt with within an hour of a phone call. They were very professional and made sure all information was available and questions answered. We had a great family vacation.

From the very beginning with booking our vacation, the rental agency Exclusive Properties, was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and communicative. When we arrived the process was simple and easy! The home itself was spectacular. It was very clean and was even better than expected. The organized notebook provided answered all of our questions and those we didn't know we were quickly given the answer. It was nice to be able to relax and enjoy our vacation without having to deal with any issues. Thank you. If you're looking for a wonderful home on IOP for a large group, this is the one!

80th Birthday/Family Reunion

Beautiful property with multiple views of the ocean. The house is laid out perfectly for larger groups, and the number of guests allowed is spot-on. We had a group of 13 adults and 2 "Littles"-who saw the ocean for the first time! Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. We didn't have time for a fire pit, but that would have been an excellent way to recap the memories of the day. Outside areas had plenty of chairs for all to enjoy the sunshine. 3 fridges on the property! Elevator worked seamlessly & was a blessing because our party included an elder in a wheelchair (due to a fall the previous week). He had plenty of space to maneuver. We had read reviews & so he rented a narrow chair that would fit in the elevator and through the doorways. Wish we could have stayed longer in "Barbados".

We have rented this house (Barbados) on Isle of Palms twice now and are going to reserve it for next year as well. Perfect beach front with a pool, putting green, excellent furnishings and wonderful service from Exclusive Properties. If there was anything we needed it was handled pronto. Great home for large family vacation

Our group of 9 adults & 6 kids stayed in this beautiful home during July 2020 for family vacation. The location is wonderful. The home was beautiful & has a great layout for a large group. Just a short walk over the dunes & your at the beach. We loved this location for vacation because in 30 minutes you could be in Charleston for some excursions. Traffic was not an issue unlike parts of Florida. We agreed one of our favorite family vacations yet.

The house is clean and as beautiful as advertised. The combination of the pool and private access to the beach is incredible. The house is also a short ride away from the grocery store, so it's easy to stock up if need be. Highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful, well kept property with a great kitchen, spacious common area and 7 ensuite bedrooms. The pool, putting green and fire pit were all used often and the kids loved the private bridge over the dunes to the beach and played back and forth constantly. Absolutely fantastic beach. Great place for a vacation with an extended family. Attentive and communicative management.

I had my whole family and some friends here for my wedding that was taking place in Charleston. This house was beautiful, very clean, and very well decorated!! The fact that every room had their own bathroom was a great selling point. The deck chairs were so comfortable and the views were to die for! The pool was an also nice to have to get away from the beach if you had the urge! I highly recommend and we will be looking to book again in the future!!

OFFICALLY "BEST VACATION EVER"

I don't know if I can include everything that pleased us (9 adults/4 children ages 6, 8, 9, 13) we really LOVE this place!! We do this "family trip" every 2 years, have stayed previously at Duck, Corolla, Kiawah Island, but, all in all, Barbados was as close to PERFECTION as we have ever seen! VERY PROFESSIONAL STAFF, Cleanliness was superb, zero entry pool a big hit (in the 7 days we stayed our youngest learned how to swim!!!!) dual refrigerators (lower level, upper level) were filled and emptied plenty (beverage and food needed when you're playing so hard) all bedrooms got 5 stars from our families, as we slept well after days in the pool, ocean etc. (I guess the TV's worked, but we never had time for them, too busy, kids were in pool wearing me out.) Kids loved shell collecting (not as many shells as Marko Island or Sanibal, but many more than other places we've stayed) very close access to food store (Harris-Teeter, very nice staff and VERY competitive prices) close to many fine business establishments just a short drive (MT. Pleasant) for Target, Walmart etc. plus a lot more restaurants etc. plenty close to pizza (Steel City a favorite for our group) and a great barbecue (Melvin's in Mt. Pleasant-the brisket, ribs, chicken and pork soooo good, don't miss getting their cornbread) The beach at this place was LARGE and CLEAN, for our stay, waves were great for everyone. We were concerned that upon our arrival (Saturday-we were there about 2, no house access until 4-5, roads were busy, but when we checked in Saturday crowd was leaving and we found Sunday through Friday we almost had any spot on the beach to ourselves. It was busy at IOP but not crowded. All visitors we encountered were very friendly, and happy (who wouldn't be happy here)GREAT walking running EVERYWHERE (I walked to the bridge over the Intercoastal Waterway every morning-it's about 5 miles roundtrip, others ran/walked on beach early, very populated so you'll feel safe) So....by popular demand Our Family declares that our vacation "June 9th through June 16th" at IOP Barbados is our NEW #1 choice for BEST VACAY EVER!!!! Thank you for doing EVERYTHING so well!! No, I do not work for, or have any connection to this property it's owners or the city of IOP, SC.

Our family of 13 absolutely loved staying at Barbados. It was a perfect 7-bedroom getaway for a family wedding weekend. The house was very clean, spacious and comfortable! We loved the pool and very short walk to the beach! The realty company was VERY accomodating. This property has all the extras for a great vacation! A perfect home!

Excellent amenities and decor. Very comfortable for our group of 14. Great family areas and kitchen. Easy to cook if you want (chef level appliances), or just to make breakfast for a large number. Everything was in great working order, nice pool and walk to beach. Worth every penny!

Great House for Family Retreat

We stayed in Barbados for the first time--10 adults and 4 children, ranging in age from 1 to 8 years. Morning on the beach, afternoons back at the pool for lunch and relaxation, cocktail hour back at the beach! What more could you want for a vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Barbados was terrific for our size of family. We would have no hesitation in returning or recommending this well decorated, laid out, up-to-date, spacious house. The pool for the age range in our family, zero entry for the little ones and size was perfect. Exclusive Properties was on scene, occasionally checking with us to make certain we had everything we needed--great support and service. We will be back!

Peaceful Paradise

We stayed in this beautiful home for the second time and it was absolutely perfect for our many needs - a quiet and peaceful workspace, hosting conference speakers, several large gatherings and some great family time at the end of a busy week! The well decorated space is laid out so well for gathering large groups and retreating for a quiet, private night's rest. We spent a lot of time walking, running and playing on the beautiful starfish covered beach. The outdoor fire pit, large yard for playing soccer and ping pong table were wonderful for enjoying the gorgeous winter weather. And the master bathtub is the best for a peaceful bubble bath. I would highly recommend this home!

Best house on the beach!

We loved this house. It is our second time staying there and the second time was as great as the first. The house has seven bedrooms so my entire family of 8 adults and 4 kids fit very comfortably. Everything was clean, tidy and working well. The location is perfect and being right on the beach doesn't get any better. We had 3 kids under 4 years old and an infant so the zero entry pool was wonderful. The baby could sit safely in the shallow part and enjoy herself while the older kids could swim from shallow to 3 ft easily. We were very well take care of and whenever we called about a question on the house, we were accommodated straight away. We will rent this house again and again in the years to come!

A very relaxing and extremely comfortable setting for a family vacation! Private access to a beautiful beach is a plus! Ping pong, swimming pool and a practice putting green so Dad can leave the clubs at home and still sneak in some practice!

This house was incredible! The views of the ocean are seen from pretty much every room. The furniture is gorgeous and feels more luxurious than beachy. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the master bedroom and bath and beautiful porches. I would recommend this house to anyone for a wonderful, relaxing vacation!

A perfect place for a relaxing getaway

We went with three other couples for a fun weekend getaway! Perfect place for a large family or a couples getaway! The view speaks for itself. Went for morning runs on the beach and through Wild Dunes, had a killer Super Bowl party, and reconnected with some amazing friends. Each bedroom had its own bathroom suite. Kitchen was perfect for entertaining and the porches made for a great quiet space to reflect and relax. Thanks for providing a memory for our crew that we will never forget.

Fabulous Multifacated Home!

We stayed at the beach house in January/February 2015 and couldn't have been happier with the home or our time there. Within the week, I experienced it in many different lights - a pre-conference luncheon, an evening with my husband, a large family gathering, a social business gathering, a business meeting, and, finally, a girls night. The house suited every gathering so wonderfully! It is perfect for larger groups, but also so sweet and romantic for an evening alone. The master bath tub is fabulous! The expansive outdoor living space is perfect for quietly reading a good book in a comfy rocking chair or playing with kids by the pool. We were blessed with beautiful weather and it was wonderful to have easy access for several long walks on the beach. The bed we slept in was super comfy. The large table is perfect for dining with a group or playing games. Overall, I would highly recommend this property!

This house was absolutely perfect for our family. With eight adults and four VERY young children, we never felt crowded. The pool was perfect, clean, and they even cleaned it while we were there. The beach felt private because it was so uncrowded. The house was extremely clean and well maintained, furniture was comfortable and the beds were wonderful! I would love to stay here again and hopefully we will.

Beautiful home/amenities/setting

This is a truly tremendous place. The pictures are all spot-on and accurate - the home itself is simply amazing, while the amenities (saltwater pool, outdoor poolside fridge, elevator, outdoor seating, grill, kitchen accessories, wifi, landscaped backyard, walkway across the dunes, etc) are all outstanding. Our extended family converged from across the U.S. (12 adults, 5 kids under 5) and there was plenty of room. In fact, if it wasn't for what I assume are fire codes, the house could easily accommodate another 3-4 kids on couches and the sun/side room off the kitchen with full pull out-couch. While this rental wasn't cheap, it was worth every penny - particularly when Exclusive Properties was there at any time to address any questions/issues that could have arisen. We will most certainly rent this property again and have no hesitation in recommending it to others!

Four Very Happy Familes

We have stayed on IOP for many years and this is the nicest house at which we've ever stayed! The photos are great but the house was even better than expected from both a space and a quality perspective. It was recently immaculately redone including the best pool on the island! It is a 'zero-entry' pool which was absolutely perfect for our kids. I must say that the bathrooms in each of the rooms were all exceptional and one of our favorite things about the house. Great showers! The space and layout of the house were perfect for us. The main floor/common area is all open plan and great for socializing. The kitchen was really nicely done with great space, high-end appliances and an island that everyone could sit around. What we really liked as well was the high degree of privacy for everyone given the layout of the bedrooms/bathrooms. This was important for us as being four families it was still very easy to get 'family time'. Lastly, we really enjoyed the outdoor space! It was nice the way there was tons of space around the pool to play ping pong, sit by the firepit or just lounge in the sun and it was really helpful that there was a lot of covered outdoor space to escape from the sun a bit or get out of the rain. I would highly recommend the house for all types of guest parties....several families, up to seven couples, corporate parties etc... given the very smart layout and really high standard. Thanks again to the owners for our perfect week in IOP!
