Authentic Italian Cuisine in the Heart of Isle of Palms

Coda del Pesce in Isle of Palms is open on Monday through Saturday, with bar service from 5:00pm ‘til closing and dinner served from 5:30pm to 10:00pm during the week. The restaurant is famous for its primarily locally- or sustainably-caught seafood that is entirely reflective of what’s available in local waters and on local farms, prepared by the famous chef Ken Vedrinkski, who runs the renowned and award-winning Trattoria Lucca restaurant in downtown Charleston as well.

Coda del Pesce’s menu changes daily, though you can count on favorites like chilled Duxbury oyster, local stone crab ravioli grilled octopus, and smoked salmon and burrata on the appetizer menu. First courses (Primi) include blue crab and anchovy taglioni, ricotta gnocchi, turanici spaghetti with seared Maine diver scallops, conchiglie and mortadella polpette (a lovely eggplant dish), and papparedelle grano arso with Mepkin Abbey oyster mushrooms.

Entrees are highlighted even further on their second course (Secondi) menu, which boasts Springer Mountain Chicken Mattone with roasted winter vegetables, Scaloppini of Cherry Point swordfish, scamp grouper with Asian spices, piccata of naturally-raised veal paired with roasted grapes and gorgonzola, and triggerfish with Castelvetrano olives, peanut potatoes, and tangerine.
