Sister Hazel and friends are cranking up the musical fun this weekend.  No need to venture off the Isle of Palms for some festive fun. While Spoleto and Piccolo Spoleto are in full swing in downtown Charleston, there’s a lot going on during the next couple weekends right near the beach. Considering this past holiday weekend kicked off peak season, along with beach traffic, it’s nice not to go far for entertainment.  Couple this with the Wando Bridge issue I covered in this blog, and a mini- “staycation” in your Charleston beach house makes perfect sense.

13th annual Hazelnut Hang

  If you happen to be in one of our luxury beach house rentals SC on the IOP this weekend, there’s a fun annual music event going on.  Get set for the 13th annual Hazelnut Hang.   This year they've coined it "The Hang at Hazelnut Isle." Sister Hazel is a hard-to-pigeonhole but beloved platinum-selling, fan-oriented band who knows how to have fun.  Their single “All For You” reached No. 11 on the Billboard charts.  They’ll be in residence this weekend, June 1st - June 3rd at The Windjammer. The Windjammer is a local entertainment hotspot for summer fun and is located at 1008 Ocean Boulevard (Front Beach) on the Isle of Palms. They’ve planned a whole weekend of fun and games, with fan favorites as well as new songs like “Roll on Bye” and “You Won’t See Me Again.”  The whole weekend will be filled with casual but fun summertime events, food and beach parties. For the first time ever, they’ll be setting up a new outdoor concert stage on the beach itself.  They’ll have a sunset beach concert Saturday night, June 2nd.  Tickets are general admission and just $25 each.

Diehard Sister Hazel fans can go all out and get The VIP Hang at Hazelnut Isle Package, which includes:

  • Exclusive “Dinner Show Hang” with a BBQ Dinner with Sister Hazel, followed by a Private VIP Concert;
  • VIP Exclusive Front Access to Sister Hazel Saturday Sunset Concert on the Beach;
  • Photo and Autograph Opportunity with Sister Hazel at Check-In;
  • Saturday Hot Hangover Breakfast with Ken + Drew, followed by a Private Acoustic Concert;
  • Saturday Exclusive Beach Party Hang with Sister Hazel;
  • Sunday Sister Hazel Concert;
  • Limited Edition Hang T-Shirt + Sister Hazel Swag;
  • Admission to The Windjammer’s Friday and Saturday Night Concerts.

Basically, it’s a whole weekend of Hazelnut happiness, right here on the Isle of Palms. Here’s the band’s website with more on the weekend and ticket info/purchase. Or you can check out The Windjammer's site. Then, the following weekend Piccolo Spoleto comes to the beach, literally, with fun and sun and sandcastles here on IOP's Front Beach.   I’ll cover more about that in a later blog. So when you’re in the market for a great vacation, call EP for the best beach houses near Charleston. All best, Lowcountry Lisa your Isle of Palms vacation blogger
