Charleston is no stranger to “best of" lists, and once again it’s been named the #1 city in the latest poll. You can add it to the Holy City’s long list of accolades. The latest is from Southern Living, the arbiter of all things below the Mason-Dixon line.  With a monthly readership of 23 million, they cover lifestyle, travel, gardens, décor, cuisine, homes, all the fun stuff that makes living in the South so grand. Each year, they single out the best of the best, in their South’s Best Awards, based on surveys of their loyal readers. Sid Evans, the magazine’s Editor in Chief, has this to say:  “At Southern Living, we’re passionate about celebrating the extraordinary people and places that define Southern hospitality.  Our goal is to identify the destinations our readers are loving the most right now—places that represent the very best of the South. This year’s awards are a unique mix of newcomers and longtime favorites.”
