Coffee, Cocktails, and More
The Refuge Isle of Palms restaurant serves up incredible drinks and dishes all day long, from 7:00 am to 10:00 am daily. Begin a fresh morning in Isle of Palms with a delicious cup of coffee and a bagel or pastry while enjoying the free in-house Wi-Fi. You’ll find all types of coffee concoctions here, from classic espresso drinks and lattes to drip or cold brew coffee, chai lattes, blended coffee drinks, French press coffee, hot or iced tea, frozen lemonade, and pressed juices. Try the salted caramel latte, the peppermint mocha, the vanilla-almond coffee cream, or the Mexican mocha with chocolate, cinnamon, and a touch of hot chili. Pair your coffee with a muffin, croissant, or scone for something light, or dive into a full-on meal like shrimp and grits, omelets, buttermilk pancakes, French toast, egg sandwiches, baked avocado and egg, Greek yogurt, and steel-cut oatmeal. For lunch, sandwiches and wraps dominate the menu and make playful nods to local island living, such as the Isle of P Paddleboard, Kitesurfer Lounge Chair, the Volleyball Spike, and more. Burgers and melted sandwiches are also offered, including a build-your-own grilled cheese with filling and cheese options. Soups and salads provide options for colder or warmer days and incorporate fresh ingredients. Brunch items include all of the favorites from the breakfast menu, only with eggs benedict options (such as lump crab cake), stuffed French toast, bagels with lox, Surfer Bod Pancakes (gluten-free, made from almond flour and oatmeal and topped with berries), and a few favorites off of the lunch menu as well. The dinner menu begins with soups, salads, sandwiches, and kids items that can be found on the lunch menu, but diverges from there. Start with a brie quesadilla, charcuterie plate, or Combahee clams. Then, move onto entrees like the house-rubbed steak, the signature crab cake, bone-in pork chop, seared wild salmon, shrimp pesto, and ratatouille risotto. To go with your meal day or night, order one of The Refuge’s special cocktails, like Remedy #1, Clover Club, Verbena Fizz, a Painkiller, or a Blood Orange Old Fashioned.
