This travel insurance is offered through Red Sky. The cost is 6.95% of your total rental amount and the option is available when you are checking out on our site. If you file for a covered reason, you will get 100% of the rental cost back. Note: you must be paid in full in order to file your claim. You must purchase within 21 days of signing to be eligible for pre-existing medical conditions. Otherwise, you have up until your final payment or 45 days prior to arrival to purchase the Travel Insurance. We offer another type of travel insurance called Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) travel insurance by Rental Guardian. If you are worried about cancelling for a reason not covered by the basic insurance plan above, then this may be the option for you. You may cancel for any of the basic travel insurance reasons for 100% refund or if you cancel for a reason not covered, then you will get 60% of the rental cost back. The cost is 10.8% of the rental amount. CFAR can only be purchased within 14 days of the initial trip deposit for stays more than a month away. Beyond 14 days, only standard coverage (Red Sky) is available. CFAR includes everything a standard plan does PLUS the ability to cancel for a reason not included in the plan. Covered events pay 100% reimbursement and non-covered events pay 60% reimbursement. A cancellation decision must be made 2 days before the trip start date. CFAR must be purchased the same day you reserve your vacation. CFAR is not available for travel that starts within 30 days. Our cancellation policy if you do not have Travel Insurance or if you cancel for a reason not covered states:
Guest cancellation must be in writing and balance paid in full. If you cancel your reservation, all monies will be held until the property has been rebooked and confirmed for the same rental period for the same rate. There are NO exceptions. If the property is rebooked for only part of the rental period or for a reduced rate for the reserved days, your deposit will be refunded minus any uncollected rent for the rental period and are subject to a cancellation processing fee of $250 and 10% of the rental. If the property isn’t rebooked all monies will be forfeited.
